          Sometimes we need to reflect.  It is important to take time to reflect on what is happening in our lives, around us, & to those that we know.  More importantly, we need to take time to reflect what is going on with ourselves & how we are handling all that affects us.  Are we happy with what is going on around us & how do we allow it to influence our approach to life?  Are we satisfied with what we are hoping to accomplish & how do we ensure that we stay focused on our goals?  Do we have too much “noise” in our lives that distract us from our personal goals?  One of the hardest things to achieve is true balance in one’s life.  Having goals for exercise, nutrition, relationships, & community involvement are a great way for us to establish a baseline, monitor our progress, evaluate how we should work harder, & to determine whether we are nearing our goals.  

          Maintaining a whole person wellness approach means that all of the aspects of our lives are considered when focusing on our health promotion efforts.  This broad focus better allows for our success at achieving optimal health.  When we consider how our decisions influence our body, mind, & spirit connection, we are able to decide how to improve our life balance.  What are you doing in your life to promote peacefulness or rest from the “noise?”  What are you doing to advocate for your own body, mind, & spiritual connectedness with the world around you?  Do you feel connected?  Are you putting in enough effort to experience the connectedness that you are hoping for?  What can you change in your life right now to better enhance your personal connectedness of your own body, mind, & spirit with the world that you are experiencing?    

           We have the strength to identify & choose in what ways that we connect ourselves to the world.  If you haven’t taken the time to identify how you want to be connected, how are going to be effective in choosing to make the connections that you hope to experience?  F. Scott Fitsgerald said, “For what it’s worth: it is never too late to be whoever you want to be. I hope you live a life you are proud of, & if you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start over.”
